FAQ

Is it actually burlesque?

Yes. Real voices, a scripted plot and clothes coming off, in that order and frequently all at once. Pasties and bottoms stay on: it is the law, and also the venue.

Is it a musical? A comedy? A striptease?

Warum nicht beides. It is a jukebox musical where the cast writes the script, sings every parody in their own voices and strips with intent. Think cabaret, if cabaret had a plot and a butler who buttles.

Are there strobe lights?

Some shows use strobe and flashing lights; those are flagged on the listing. If that is not something you can be around, tell us before the show and we will refund your ticket or credit it to another run, no questions asked.

Can I tip?

Please. Cash on stage is traditional, Venmo is modern, and the kittens will collect either. Tips are what keep the rhinestones on.

How old do I need to be?

21+. It is a bar. Bring ID. We check, and we are not above being flattered by a fake. Wrong Sirens show if you are hoping otherwise.

Where is it?

The DC Comedy Loft, upstairs at the Bier Baron Tavern, 1523 22nd St NW, Washington DC. Dupont Circle Metro, then a short stumble.

What time?

Doors at 6 PM, show at 7 PM. Come early for a table; come late for a wall.

Can I take photos?

No photos or video during the show. Photos of the cast after the show, absolutely, with their consent and your best angle.

Is there food?

The Bier Baron has a full menu and a lot of beer. Order before the lights go down.
